Breitling’s Avenger Night Mission draws on nearly a century of brand history, dating back to the 1930s when third-generation founder Willy Breitling crafted precision dashboard instruments and chronographs for military and civil-aviation pilots. Building on this history, the new Avenger Night Mission lineup includes standout black ceramic models with straps that draw from military and contemporary design colors, including green, turquoise, sand and black.
Leading the charge is the Super Avenger B01 Chronograph 46 Night Mission ($9.950.00) in green, with a case and bezel constructed of scratch-resistant ceramic. Arabic numerals, markers and hands filled with SuperLumiNova illuminate the black carbon dial. The exhibition caseback, crown, pushers, and buckle are crafted from solid titanium – which provides the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal.
The slightly smaller Avenger B01 Chronograph 42 Night Mission models in Turquoise ($9,550.00) and Sand ($9,750.00) are powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01 and enclosed in a 42-mm black ceramic case with an open back. As far as turning it up with the dial designs goes, the turquoise model features a matching strap and dial, with black sub-dials, white numerals and red accents offset by the cyan background. While the sand model has coordinating Arabic numeral hour markers filled with SuperLumiNova on a black carbon dial.
Rounding out the collection is the Avenger Automatic 42 Night Mission in Black ($6,300.00) with a coordinating ceramic case and carbon dial. Built with aviation-grade materials, this pilot’s watch is equipped with the three-hand automatic Breitling Caliber 17, with a power reserve of approximately 38 hours.
