Launched in 2017, Bell & Ross’ LUM collection pushes the limits of creativity through the innovative use of materials and manufacturing. In 2023, the BR-X5 Green Lum pushed the limits of this mix even further with an entirely luminescent case. To follow up, Bell & Ross just dropped the BR-X5 Blue Lum, which offers ‘flawless light diffusion’ in a striking shade of blue. Both watches were created using LM3D, an exclusive composite combining quartz fibers, luminescent material and resin. LM3D ensures uniform luminosity and is exceptionally lightweight–70% lighter than steel.
The 41-mm case of the BR-X5 Blue Lum is cut from a block of DLC-coated titanium and sandwiched between two layers of photoluminescent LM3D. The entire case glows in the dark, highlighting the dial’s indications: hours, minutes, seconds, date and power reserve. The Blue Lum is powered by the BR-CAL.323 movement, which produces a 70 hour power reserve. Available for pre-order in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
