Limited to 1,000 pieces, the Gen3 Big Bang e FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 has an even larger and improved high-definition screen, and the new timeline function – a feature created exclusively for this smartwatch. Before the tournament starts, a dedicated app tailor-made for the watch will be in countdown mode, tracking the days until the opening match on November 20 between Qatar and Ecuador. Then, 15 minutes before each match, the watch will display team line-ups and player profiles. As a game kicks off, the watch will automatically enter match mode and activate timeline, capturing the most important moments. The display will automatically switch into extra time mode, and then into shootout mode as needed, if the match goes beyond normal time. Each penalty is recorded by a football icon with a green or red outline to indicate whether or not the attempt was successful. A final “match period animation” indicates the game is over and displays the final score. At any point during the game, the wearer can activate the replay function by scrolling around the dial using the watch’s crown.
Made in Switzerland from polished black ceramic and black titanium, the 44-mm case blends mechanical watchmaking techniques and high-end electronics. The watch’s hardware specification includes an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a microphone, a speaker, a GPS monitor and a heart-rate monitor.
