Watch Porn: Jaeger-LeCoultre Launching Master Control Memovox Time In Pink Gold

Jaeger-LeCoultre launched a new interpretation of the Master Control Memovox Timer in pink gold. Originally introduced in 1950, Memovox watches offered an additional alarm-setting function. In 2020 Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the Memovox Timer, an entirely new alarm-setting mechanism based on elapsed time. For the latest Memovox Timer, the self-winding Calibre 956 was entirely redesigned to fit a 40 mm pink gold case with an exhibition case back. Conceived, developed and produced in-house, the movement’s gongs are now attached to the case side, allowing the wearer to watch the hammers in action. An open-worked pink gold rotor, decorated with Côtes de Genève to match the finishing on the movement plates, ensures an unobstructed view of the strike-works. The dial is laid out in concentric circles, with the black background contrasting with the grey outer minutes ring and alarm-indication disc studded with highly polished numerals. A small hand tipped with a red JL logo indicates the elapsed hours-until-alarm. Set at the outer edge of the ring, a second concentric ring with the Memovox’s signature triangular marker points to the time at which the alarm will ring. The elongated shape of the applied hour indexes – a signature of mid-century Memovox models – echoes the simplicity of the Dauphine hands. Produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces, this watch is available exclusively from Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques.
