J.M. Weston Creates Unisex ‘On Time’ Sneaker For French Open Collection

Here’s an example of unintentional irony. J.M. Weston created a new unisex sneaker dubbed the On Time for this years French Open. Then in March – as COVID 19 spread through Europe – the French Tennis Federation postponed the Grand Slam tournament, twice. Whatever the timing, the sneakers vintage inspired, minimalist design is completely intentional. Perforated white calfskin adds texture to the uppers, while blue piping and a hints of terracotta orange, a nod to the clay courts, add color. The shoes are finished with double seams, metal eyelets and a new monogrammed rubber sole.
