Kith’s new 1300CL Capsule is the second of five exclusive packs designed by founder Ronnie Fieg in New Balance’s iconic ‘Steel Blue’ (CL) colorway. The Made in USA 1300 ($180.00) inverts the instantly recognizable CL color-blocking across the upper, mixing blue-grey suede and grey mesh panels with dual-stacked reflective N logos. To maintain the retro look, this model sits atop the classic 1300 ENCAP sole unit. The RC1300 ($150.00) is a modern version of the original 1300. It uses the same upper but updates the heritage profile with a new ENCAP Reveal ‘split’ sole unit. This new profile showcases the silhouette’s evolution since the 1980’s by emphasizing the original ABZORB cushioning which is traditionally hidden. The new Vibram outsole offers increased traction and a rugged look, while the suede and mesh upper is dressed in the OG CL color-blocking.
