Watch Porn: Panerai’s New Luminor Marina w/ Blue Sun-Brushed Dial

Officine Panerai has a unique association with the sea. For much of the twentieth century, the Italian brand supplied precision timepieces to the Italian Navy for underwater commandos and it currently sponsors the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge – the premier circuit regatta for vintage sailing yachts. This history inspired a new version of the Luminor Marina 44MM, featuring Panerai’s sandwich dial in blue with a satiné soleil finish. As blue as the Mediterranean, the dial also includes luminous numerals and hour markers, the date at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock. The stainless steel case is water resistant to 300 meters and comes on a dark blue alligator strap. The watch runs on an in-house P.9010 automatic movement with a three-day power reserve.

The Luminor Marina 44 MM PAM1313 ($7,700) is available exclusively from Panerai boutiques and at panerai.com.
