Grenson + CRAIG GREEN

Craig Green wanted the shoes in his AW18 London Fashion Week Men’s show to look like a single sculpted piece, something that popped straight out of a mold. This was a challenge for his design partner Grenson. All Grenson shoes are Goodyear welted, a complex process with many pieces stitched together. This technique produces sturdy, long-lasting shoes – not sculpted objet. The British shoemaker developed new production techniques to produce a factory made Goodyear welted shoe to Green’s specifications. The result, a modern, high shine leather derby built on the round toe ‘213’ Grenson last sitting on a lightweight commando style Vibram rubber sole. The top-stitched welt is a Grenson signature but fold-over lace guard and piping detail on the heel and toe are quintessentially Craig Green.

The Grenson + CRAIG GREEN derby ($615.00) is available now at grenson.com.
