Inspired by the precise silhouettes of bespoke suiting, designer Ozwald Boateng reimagined the Nike N98 Suit for the Brasilian National Team. The Savile Row star’s unique takes on the tracksuit respects the concept of the original, with classic tracksuit sleeves on the jacket and an elasticated waistband and cuffs on the trousers, while advancing the design. To ensure functionality, Boateng tailors his version from tropical weight wool that will keep the hosts looking as good off the pitch as on.
“In one way it’s very much a suit, but the tracksuit details have to be executed in a certain way so it really is a fusion of Nike’s ability and my skill as a tailor — it’s definitely harmonized as a piece. I think we’ve hit something very unique.” – Ozwald Boateng
