When the first Seamaster Diver 300M was released in 1993, it marked Omega’s return to the world of diving watches – leveraging the brands legacy from the 1960s and 70s. Since then, the 300M has become a favorite of Seamaster fans thanks to distinguishing details like the wave-patterned dial, skeleton hands, and the helium escape valve at 10 o’clock. This year, Omega is updating the lineup with the first Diver 300M models in stainless steel. Watch fans got preview of the new diver earlier this year when Omega ambassador Daniel Craig wore a stainless steel Diver 300M to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The new series takes inspiration from the Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition worn by James Bond in the film No Time To Die, starring Daniel Craig in his fifth and final portrayal of fictional British spy.
These 42-mm Seamaster 300M models feature the same domed sapphire crystal and mesh bracelet as the 007 Edition, giving the updated design a vintage vibe. Omega is launching the collection with two new dials available on either mesh bracelets ($6,500.00) or rubber straps ($5,900.00). The first is a stainless steel model with a black aluminum bezel and black aluminum dial featuring laser-engraved waves. The second is a stainless steel model with a titanium bezel and a brushed PVD stainless steel dial. Each watch is powered by a Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal on the caseback.
