Bell & Ross’ latest BR-X5 features an iridescent sunray dial that shimmers and shifts colors with slight changes in orientation. Using an elaborate chemical process, the watchmaker superimposed thin layers of PVD on the dial to create the striking iridescent effect. The PVD layers, all with distinct tones, create light interference which, depending on the angle of observation, gives rise to this unique chromatic variation, explains Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and co-founder of Bell & Ross.
Like all BR-X5 models, the Iridescent features a large date window at 3 o’clock and a circular power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. The hour markers and hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova X1, while the bezel houses the numerical minute indications. Available exclusively in Bell & Ross boutiques and bellross.com, this new version is available on a matching stainless steel bracelet ($8,400.00) or a white rubber strap ($7,900.00).
