Swiss label On teamed with Japan’s BEAMS to launch a tennis lifestyle collection, just in time for the start of Wimbledon. Despite its name, the lineup is decidedly more normcore than tenniscore. There are no cable knit tennis sweaters or super short shorts, à la Björn Borg. Instead, the collection offers everyday staples – from water-repellent shell jackets to tailored track pants – inspired by Tokyo streetwear. The standout piece is THE ROGER Pro Beams ($239.99), an exclusive version of On’s popular lifestyle shoe originally designed in collaboration with eight time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer. These limited edition sneakers are made from vegan leather with perforated panels on the upper and tongue, and hidden CloudTec cushioning in the soles. The shoes are finished with gold logo details, Japanese and Swiss flags and green sock liners, a nod to Wimbledon’s fabled grass courts.
