Sperry partnered with Blackstock & Weber to reimagine two classic styles, the Authentic Original Boat Shoe and the Captain’s Oxford. Chris Echevarria, founder of the Brooklyn-based shoe brand and a committed prep, is a lifelong Sperry fan and knew exactly what to do to modernize the iconic silhouettes. Handmade in Lewiston, Maine at the renowned Rancourt factory, the shoes feature premium materials like tumbled bison leather from the Horween Leather Company, hairy suede from CF Stead, and rugged Vibram soles. Each style is hand sewn using Blake Stitch construction, a single-stitch method that folds the upper underneath the insole and stitches it into place with a single thread. The uppers are then attached to a double welt leather mid-sole and set on Vibram lug soles.
