The newest addition to Zenith’s Defy Extreme collection is crafted in mirror-polished stainless steel. From the gleaming 45-mm steel case and integrated bracelet to the open dial with a mirrored sapphire crystal element, the Defy Extreme Mirror is designed to reflect the light and colors of its surrounding without distortion. Zenith describes the optical effect as conceptual camouflage.
The openwork sapphire crystal dial features a metallic mirrored finish that’s both translucent and reflective. Partially visible through the dial as well as the sapphire case back is Zenith’s high-frequency chronograph calibre, offering 1/100th of a second time measurements by means of two independent escapements beating at the rates of 5Hz (36’000 VpH) for the timekeeping part and 50Hz (360’000 VpH) for the chronograph function. In addition to the mirror-polished stainless steel bracelet, each watch comes with a black rubber strap and a black Velcro strap – both easily swapped using the quick strap-change mechanism on the back of the case.
