By the time you read this it may already be too late. After a 2.5 year design process, 18 East just dropped its interpretation of the classic Vans Half Cab – and it’s selling out fast. Each pair comes with a Polaroid sticker of legendary Vermont DJ Andy “A-Dog” Williams, the inspiration behind the collaboration. The first 100 pairs sold also include the Slow Fidelity Sessions vol. 1 cassette, a mixtape made by DJ Crusty Cuts in tribute to A-Dog featuring music from iconic 90’s skate videos as selected by the 18 East team. The 18 East + Vans Vault Half Cab features original details like; a densely padded black tongue, natural topstitching, additional ollie toe cap, matte white outsole with tonal foxing stripe, and the original construction fixed insole, for maximum board feel. Each pair also includes an indigo suede Half Cab ankle label, a nod to 18 East’s utilization of India’s rich tradition of natural dyes. Available now in three, tonal colorways, Black/Navy, Ecru/Off-white and Espresso/Latte.
