Koio’s summer lineup includes a limited collaboration with Le Sirenuse, one of the most celebrated hotels on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Nestled on a cliff overlooking the sea in the impossibly picturesque town of Positano, the family-run hotel exudes laid-back luxury. Originally built as a summer home for the Sersale family, the property was converted into a boutique hotel shortly after World War II, opening its doors to the public in 1951. Behind its cherry-red facade, the 58-room resort retains an intimate, homey feel with colorful majolica tiles, antique furnishings and eclectic artwork.
The curved seams of the Koio + Le Sirenuse sneaker ($325.00) recall the clean lines of the hotel’s architecture, while the red heel counter and insole reference Le Sirenuse’s distinctive facade. Handcrafted in Italy, the Koio + Le Sirenuse slide ($195.00) features the words Don’t Worry appliqued across the wide, white Italian leather strap. The phrase is a nod to one of the most memorable contemporary artworks inside the hotel – a neon sign by acclaimed British artist Martin Creed.
