Bell & Ross is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Patrouille de France with a new limited edition timepiece. ‘La PAF’ is the precision aerobatics demonstration unit of the French Air Force and an official partner of the French watch brand. Founded in 1953, the squadron employs some of the best fighter pilots in France and is known for its daring formations. The blue dial of the BR 03-92 Patrouille de France 70th Anniversary matches the color of the Alpha Jet flown by the unit. White numerals and markers, and white tips on the blue hands, stand out against the blue dial and ensure visibility in low light. A special 70th anniversary logo appears at 3 o’clock alongside the PAF insignia at 9 o’clock, encircled by the colors of the French flag on the outer edge of the dial. The 42-mm black ceramic case is water-resistant to 100 meters and includes a second tribute to the units 70th anniversary, the silhouettes of all 5 aircraft flown by La PAF since 1953. Limited to 999 pieces, the watch comes with a rugged Velcro strap and a blue calfskin strap stamped with the team insignia.
