Tudor is expanding the Black Bay GMT line with a new matte finish opaline dial. Blending traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking, the Black Bay model features dials inspired by the dive watches Tudor produced in the 1950s. Opaline isn’t quite white. Instead the dial is greyish/white with a hint of silver, and studded with angular Snowflake hands and luminescent hour markers edged in black to create a noticeable contrast. Additional time zones are indicated by a red GMT hand and bidirectional bezel, both calibrated for 24 hours. Daylight hours are printed on the matte burgundy section, while night-time hours appear on the matte blue section. With a 41-mm steel case and an in-house automatic movement with a 70 hour power reserve, the Black Bay GMT is waterproof to 200 m/660 ft and designed to withstand the elements. Its winding crown tube is in satin-brushed steel, new for the Black Bay line and aesthetically in keeping with the case and winding crown. The watch is available on a three-link stainless steel bracelet with polished and satin finish ($4,300.00), or on a black fabric strap with burgundy accents ($3,975.00).
