With a brand new movement, striking skeletonized dial and space-age materials throughout, Rado’s latest Captain Cook model is its most innovative yet. The Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Limited Edition is not only the first Rado watch with the R808 calibre, but also the first Captain Cook model in full ceramic, apart from the PVD treated titanium case back. Along with the 43-mm case, the entire bezel, crown and bracelet – with a titanium clasp equipped with ceramic push-buttons – are crafted in matte-black ceramic. Gold colored markers, numerals and indices on the bezel and dial standout against the black ceramic. The hour and minute hands – visible in low-light thanks to the black Super-LumiNova treatment – coordinate perfectly with the other gold accents. Inside, the state-of-the-art R808 automatic movement produces an 80 hour power reserve and features an anti-magnetic NivachronTM hairspring and an oscillating weighed shaped like Rado’s anchor logo. Limited to 1,962 pieces, the watch is water resistant to 300 meters.
