Watch Porn: Zodiac Brings Back ‘60s Classic With New Olympos Field

Zodiac’s new Olympos Field is a modern take on a 1960s military watch from the brands archives. Inspired by the 37-mm Zodiac Olympos ‘manta’ watches made for the Royal Navy, the re-issue retains the OG’s distinctive manta ray shaped case in a slightly larger 40-mm stainless steel form. The Olympos Field also includes a critical feature that distinguished early field watches, the ability to stop the seconds hand when setting the time. Known as hacking, this function enabled soldiers to accurately synchronize their watches – a must when coordinating battlefield operations. Powered by a Swiss-made movement, the watch is available with a grey dial and dark brown leather strap, or a green dial and tan leather ban.
