Ulysse Nardin teamed up with Norwegian sportswear brand Norrøna to launch the limited edition Diver Norrøna Arctic Night. Known for sustainable outerwear, Norrøna shares Ulysse Nardin’s commitment to the environment and ambition to shift to a ‘circular production’ model. To that end, the 44mm case is made up of recycled stainless steel, a sustainably produced carbon composite – used to make modern aircraft – and a plastic composite made with recycled fishing nets. All components of the UN-118 automatic manufacture movement are sourced in Switzerland, almost all within a 20 miles radius. The Norrøna Arctic Night is a black iteration of the Ocean Race Diver, the most sustainable watch in Ulysse Narkin’s collection. The black, white and grey color palette reflects Norway’s spectacular fjords, volcanic rocks and polar landscapes. Each watch is individually numbered from 1 to 29 and fitted to black nylon strap made from recycled fishing nets.
Every purchase includes a Norrøna Arktis Gore-Tex® Pro Jacket Ulysse Nardin Edition. Made with a 100% recycled nylon face, the jacket is designed to exceed every polar requirement. Key features include a hood that creates an air pillow to protect against the harshest elements, 3D pullers for easier grip when using mittens and a waist adjustment designed to trap heat around vital organs. The hood has a one-pull system to adjust the circumference and height at once. It also has Velcro pockets and a fidlock closure on the collar to make it easier to handle with gloves.
