Since its introduction in 2019, Bell & Ross’ 3-hand BR 05 range offered three different dial colors – black, silver grey, and navy blue. Today, the French brand offers a 4th iteration, metallic brown with copper highlights. “You have to breathe life into a range”, explains Bruno Belamich, Creative Director and co-founder of Bell & Ross. “It can be achieved through technique (movement), materials, or details. For the BR 05 Copper Brown, we chose the color.” Several coats of transparent brown varnish are applied to the dial’s metal plate to create a unique golden-brown color with a sense of depth. This color was developed specifically for the BR 05, the only Bell & Ross watch to feature it. White photo-luminescent filled hands, numerals and indexes stand out against the copper dial, and guarantee legibility in low light conditions. Crafted in stainless steel, the 40-mm case features the watchmaker’s signature beveled edges secured by four screws. The Copper Brown comes fitted to an integrated steel bracelet ($5,100.00) or a sporty brown rubber strap ($4,600.00). It’s powered by the BR-CAL 321 calibre, visible through the sapphire case back.
