Every season Formula 1 introduces a new ruleset aimed at improving race quality and performance. In response, the Alpine F1 Team develops a new car to keep up with the regulations and innovation demands. Along with the refashioned car, a new Alpine livery seals the design deal. Similarly, Bell & Ross takes advantage of the annual changeover to refresh its Alpine F1 (né Renault) themed watch lineup.
This year’s BR03-92 A522 emulates the colors and graphics of the teams 2022 livery and Alpine A522 F1 car. The 42mm matte black ceramic case is set on a perforated rubber strap with a black PVD coated steel buckle. Taking design ques from the A522’s speedometer, the black dial features large white Super-LumiNova coated numerals outlined in black. ‘Alpine blue’ is used on the stylized A counterweight of the central chrono seconds hand and the minute track on the flange. A mini tricolor above the date window at 6 o’clock celebrates the French origins of both brands. The automatic BR-CAL.302 movement produces a 38 hour reserve and powers the hour, minute, seconds and date functions. Limited to 999 pieces.
