IWC Schaffhausen just introduced new versions of the Portugieser Automatic and the Portugieser Chronograph with blue and white ‘panda’ dials. Both watches feature lacquered white dials with azurage blue subdials, a railway-track style chapter ring, blue Arabic numerals, and blued feuille hands, fitted in stainless steel cases. Frequently featured in IWC’s Portugieser collection, the high-contrast panda dial improves legibility and makes for a distinctive appearance. The 42.3-mm Automatic ($13,100.00) is powered by the in-house 52010 calibre with a 7 day power reserve and fitted with a blue alligator strap. While the 41.0-mm Chronograph ($8,400.00) features the IWC-manufactured 69355 calibre chronograph movement and a blue rubber strap. Both movements are visible through sapphire glass case backs.
