Watch Porn: Ulysse Nardin’s New Diver X TOR Is Made With Recycled Fishing Nets

Ulysse Nardin built the latest Diver X model almost entirely from recycled fishing nets. The Ocean Race Diver features a 44-mm composite case made of Nylo® – a polyamide derived from reclaimed fishing nets – with stainless steel components made using waste materials from the car industry. The touches of bright green decorating the watch represent nature. These are everywhere: from the stitching on the strap to the markers and bezel, the power reserve indicator at midday, the small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, the logo etched onto the crown, and the crown protector. Ulysse Nardin’s signature ‘double X’ dial is also green. A combination of white, grey and black completes the color palette. Water-resistant to 300 meters, the in-house UN-118 movement powers the watch and is visible through the exhibition case-back. Available in a limited edition of 200 pieces.
