Twenty-eight years after his untimely death, TAG Heuer continues to honor racing legend and brand ambassador Ayrton Senna da Silva. The latest Formula 1 Senna Special Edition features red accents on the anthracite dial, 2 o’clock pusher and crown, inspired by the first TAG Heuer chronograph worn by Senna. A double S modeled on Senna’s personal logo appears in red on the subdial at 6 o’clock and on the black ceramic tachymeter bezel – which is also engraved with the number 400 as a reference to the symbolic 400 km/h speed that has never been reached in F1. The shock-resistant bracelet has a folding clasp with a driver extension to fit over the sleeve of a racing suit, a reference to the original Senna Special Edition’s famous S/EL bracelet. A stainless-steel screwdown case-back engraved with an image of Senna’s iconic helmet protects the automatic Calibre 16.
