The new Portofino Chronograph 39 Edition Laureus Sport for Good is the 16th special edition watch IWC has produced in collaboration with Laureus. A Global Partner of Laureus Sport for Good since 2005, the Swiss watchmaker produces the annual additions to highlight its support for the foundation’s mission to improve the lives of young people through the power of sport. Limited to 1,000 pieces, the watch features a ‘Laureus’ blue dial with rhodium-plated hands and appliques inside a 39-mm stainless steel case. An engraving of the winning entry from the drawing competition that IWC organizes each year within all Laureus programs appears on the case back. The drawing depicts eight hands united, and was created by 15-year-old Jatin Malhan. Jatin is goalkeeper for a youth football club in Punjab, India. Support by Sport for Good, the program works to drive change in his community, promoting tolerance and gender equality.
