The Black Bay Pro is an entirely new Tudor model with a dual time complication. Set against the black dial, an angular yellow ‘Snowflake’ hand indicates the second timezone. Local time is indicated by a shorter ‘Snowflake’ hour hand, which can be moved backwards and forwards. The date function – displayed through an aperture at 3 o’clock – is controlled by the hour hand so that when setting the time and passing midnight in retrograde, it instantly jumps to the previous day. The Black Bay Pro is available on a riveted steel bracelet ($4,000.00), a hybrid leather/rubber strap ($3,675.00), or a black fabric strap with a yellow stripe ($3,675.00).
While the compact 39-mm steel case and domed crystal reflect the general lines of the first Tudor diving watches from the ‘40s and ‘50s, the Pro also introduces unique aesthetic details to the Black Bay collection. Starting with its winding crown, set flush against the case and entirely redesigned for maximum grip. The applied hour markers on the dial are also new. Made from monobloc luminous ceramic, the design enhances the technical appeal of the diver and considerably increases the luminous surface area of the markers. A new bracelet clasp with a Tudor T-fit rapid adjustment system completes the list of innovations. The screw-down crown with the Tudor rose in relief ensures water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet).
