Omega teamed up with Swatch to produce an innovative version of its legendary Speedmaster Moonwatch. Named after planetary bodies, the eleven new Speedmaster MoonSwatch models feature 42-mm BIOCERAMIC cases – a blend of ceramic and ‘bio-sourced’ plastic derived from castor oil. The composite cases look remarkably similar to the classic stainless steel Moonwatch – a 4th generation Speedmaster style worn on the moon – at a fraction of the price. All the features are there; the asymmetrical case, step dial, three sub-dials and tachymeter scale with dot over ninety. Each MoonSwatch has its own mission statement, inspirational engravings and Omega x Swatch branding on the dial and crown. All the hands and markers are coated in Super-LumiNova, while the battery covers sport depictions of the corresponding planet. Each watch comes mounted on co-branded Velcro straps.
