Watch Porn: TAG Heuer Unveils Aquaracer Professional 200

TAG Heuer’s new Aquaracer Professional 200 packs six classic diving watch features into a sleek, compact 40-mm stainless steel case. Like the larger 43-mm Aquaracer Professional 300 released last year, it has a sapphire glass crystal, unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, luminous markings, double safety clasp and water resistance to at least 200 meters. But this diver also includes a series of subtle yet definitive changes. The bezel is steel instead of ceramic, and the central link bracelet is polished rather than brushed, elevating the look. TAG also updated the display geometry. Where the Aquaracer Professional 300 has octagonal hour markers, an oversize hour hand, and yellow detailing, the 200 uses straight-edged, trapezoidal hour markers, sword-shaped hands, and crisp white detailing. For legibility, the hour markers and hands are still coated with Super-LumiNova.

In another departure from the Aquaracer Professional 300, the 40-mm Professional 200 comes with an automatic or a battery-powered quartz movement. The choice of movement changes the divers layout and functionality. Available with a blue, black or silver dial, automatics have gradient dials, date windows (without a magnifier), luminous seconds hands, and detailed minute tracks. Quartz models have the same technical profile and dial color options, but no date window. One attribute shared by every Professional 200 is the case back design. An engraved compass replaces the diving helmet featured on Aquaracer case backs – and its predecessors – since 2002.
