Watch Porn: Blancpain’s Traditional Chinese Calendar Now Available In Red Gold

With the 2022 Lunar New Year approaching, Blancpain unveils a second version of the Traditional Chinese Calendar watch for the Year of the Tiger. Crafted in red gold with a blue grand feu enamel dial, this limited edition is only available at Blancpain boutiques. Gold Roman numerals applied to the blue dial indicate the hours, while enamel Arabic numerals on the periphery follow the Gregorian calendar. A small sub-dial at 12 o’clock denotes traditional Chinese ‘double hours’ in figures and symbols over a 24 cycle. With a yin and yang symbol in its center, the sub-dial at 3 o’clock signals the five elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water) and the ten celestial stems over a cycle of ten years. A third sub-dial at 9 o’clock tracks the lunar months of the Chinese calendar. The inscription on the periphery of this counter uses the longer hand to indicate the lunar days. The moon phases are displayed in an aperture above 6 o’clock. The 45-mm double-stepped red gold case features an exhibition back offering a view of the self-winding movements oscillating weight and honeycomb pattern engraved with the yin and yang symbol.
