Nigel Cabourn Explores Umbro’s Rugby Legacy With New Capsule

Nigel Cabourn teamed up with Umbro for a ten-piece capsule collection inspired by vintage football and rugby silhouettes. The British designer incorporated his signature military touches – including RAF style badges and labels – into a range of rugby shirts, sweats, trainers and knitted beanies. Key pieces include the Drill Top and matching Training Pants in RAF Navy, and the Regiment Rugby Top with details drawn from military shirts in Nigel’s personal archive. True to the retro theme, the collection includes a hand-sewn remake of a 1940s leather rugby ball.
