For the first-ever limited edition Defy Extreme, Zenith created a watch that’s equal parts precision craftsmanship and wearable art. Inspired by desert landscapes, the Defy Extreme Desert features a 45-mm titanium case accented with falcon’s eye, a variety of tiger’s eye. The 12-sided bezel and the component that protects the pushers are crafted from the blue-grey quartz. As each stone exhibits slightly different colors and fibrous structures, each of the 50 watches produced is a unique piece. Inside the case, the open dial reveals the inner workings of the El Primero 21 movement powering the 1/100th of a second chronograph. Atop the open dial is a tinted sapphire crystal with luminescent markers and hands, applied chronograph counters and a power reserve indicator – all in matching beige-brown tones. The titanium bracelet can be easily swapped for the supplied black Velcro or beige rubber strap using the quick change mechanism on the back of the case.
