Adidas is gearing up to release Atlanta superstar Trae Young’s first signature collection. Inspired by the lace-less N3XT L3V3L high top worn by Trae in his first NBA season, the Trae Young 1 combines a half-bootie with minimal lace loops and a lace-less forefoot for superior lockdown. Trae’s new ‘TY’ logo is printed on the tongue pull-tab and his signature is printed on the heel tab. Adidas branding includes the 3 Stripes logo on the Lightstrike mid-sole and BOOST stamped on the heel – a reference to the cushioning in the heel. The shoes are finished with suede accents on the medial and lateral toe and a suede overlay covering the lacing system.
The initial launch will include three apparel pieces – the Trae Pant, Short and Quarter Zip Pull-Over – and five shoe colorways; the ICEE, ICEE Cotton Candy, Peachtree, So So Def, and So So Def ATL. First up, the Trae Young 1 ICEE and ICEE Cotton Candy, an official collaboration with the ICEE frozen drink company. Priced at $140.00 each and available October 1 at adidas.com.
