For the second Bulgari x Fragment Design watch collaboration, Japanese streetwear icon Hiroshi Fujiwara sticks to his less is more approach. The 2021 BVLGARI BVLGARI Fragment Design Special Edition watch maintains the striking minimalism of the 2020 version, with a matte black dial stripped of numbers and indices. Along with a small date window at 3 o’clock, the only marks on the dial are a special co-branded logo at 12 o’clock and Fragment’s signature double lighting bolt graphic at 6 o’clock. While the original design featured a sandblasted steel body, the new watch comes in a 41-mm polished steel case engraved with ‘BVLGARI’ across the top and ‘FRGMT’ on the bottom. Fujiwara also added polished stainless steel hour, minute and second hands to match the new case. The self-winding automatic movement is visible through a sapphire case back decorated with Fragment’s lighting bolts – and element repeated on the crown. Limited to 600 pieces, each watch comes with two interchangeable NATO straps.
