Breitling’s Top Time Classic Cars Capsule Collection pays homage to three seminal sports cars from the 1960s; the Chevrolet Corvette, the Ford Mustang and the Shelby Cobra. A modern interpretation of the original 60s Top Time range, this trio of chronographs ($5,500 ea.) features bold dial colors and racing-themed watch straps in calfskin leather. Each car’s logo is etched into the stainless steel case back. The red and black Top Time Chevrolet Corvette is based on the iconic C2 ‘Sting Ray’ from the mid-1960s. The green and brown Top Time Ford Mustang draws on a car developed in record time in 1964, sparking a new genre of affordable compact performance cars. Both models sport 44-mm cases housing the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 25, a self-winding chronograph movement with a 42 hour power reserve. The slightly smaller 40-mm Top Time Shelby Cobra runs on the COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 41, another self-winding chronograph movement with a 42 hour power reserve. Surrounded by a white tachymeter scale, its blue dial has two contrasting white sub-dials, plus the Cobra logo at the 6 o’clock position.
