Dresden’s historic Academy of Fine Arts inspired German watchmaker Glashütte Original’s new PanoInverse Limited Edition. Crafted in platinum, the design moves the inner workings of the movement to the dial side of the watch. Numerous components that are normally visible through the sapphire crystal case back are mounted in inverse order. Some of the components and assembly groups were newly developed to achieve the design. The guilloché pattern on the three-quarter plate, also visible on the dial side, reflects the architecture of the Academy’s landmark dome.
Limited to 25 pieces, the PanoInverse Limited Edition ($45,700) is available exclusively in Glashütte Original Boutiques. glashuette-original.com
