Studio Nicholson + Sunspel Partner Up To Create New ‘Modular Uniform’

Studio Nicholson partnered with Sunspel to create a monochrome capsule collection of elevated jersey separates. A trailblazer in the production of lightweight cotton clothing, Sunspel has been manufacturing some of the world’s finest t-shirts and undergarments for over 160 years. Studio Nicholson founder Nick Wakeman used the brands expertise in fabrication to produce the range of ‘Milk and Black’ unisex separates cut from Sunspel’s exceptionally soft mid-weight cotton jersey, engineered Cotton Stretch Jersey and the Cotton Loopback – finished in fleece for a softer handle. Designed to be worn together in sets, each piece features the words Sunspel and Studio Nicholson spelled out in Morse code. According to Wakeman, “This isn’t loungewear. They’re definitely not made for ‘slobbing about’ in. We approached every element with the same reverence as a woven garment – incorporating attitude with elevated, well-fitting shapes and the persistent pursuit of the ideal fit. These are definite silhouettes.”
