Fred Perry and Nicholas Daley continue their multi-season collaboration with a new ‘70s inspired capsule. The collection highlights the synergy between music, martial arts and late 1970s counterculture. Music and ‘70s style are a constant influence for the Scottish-Jamaican designer, martial arts are a recent passion. After picking up karate shortly before the U.K. went into lockdown, Daley had a new appreciation for the martial arts uniforms worn by Wailers legend Peter Tosh – a black belt in karate – when performing on-stage. Details from these pieces, like patches and karategi-style stitching, are worked into signature Fred Perry pieces.
