Just in time for summer, Haven introduces a signature eyewear collection manufactured in Sabae, Japan by LIGHT Co. Known for its skilled craftspeople and meticulous handcrafting techniques, Sabae is the center of Japan’s world-renowned optical industry. Utilizing this expertise, LIGHT Co. crafts Haven’s vintage inspired styles – The Shield and The Coast – by hand using cotton oil based acetates. This plant based cellulose gives the frames deeper, richer colors while reducing the environmental impact. The Shield frames take style cues from the standard issue US military S9 eyeglasses first introduced in the 1970s. The Coast frames are a modern interpretation of the classic Wayfarer. Both styles feature Haven’s signature hex beauty mark in polished metal on the front connections and side temples, along with a custom hexagon pattern engraved across the core wires in each arm.
