While the tennis world focuses on the clay court season in the run-up to Roland-Garros, Nike has something new for hard court players. The sportswear giant released two NikeCourt Vapor Lite hard court shoes with an innovative 4-point strap inspired by safety belts in Formula One cars. The supportive strap wraps the foot from bottom to top, hugging and securing the feet. Soft foam inserts near the arch work in tandem with harder foam along the outside of the shoe to ensure stability while sliding or running across the court. This alignment is designed to help players push off during the explosive movements key to the modern hard court game. Buyers can chose from a minimalist White/Black colorway or an off-white Photon Dust upper with 90s-esque Chlorine Blue and Hyper Pink accents.
