Tokyo 2020 marks Omega’s 29th time serving as the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games. In almost 90 years of sponsorship, the lead up to the Games has never been this long. This is the first time the event has been reschedule rather than canceled. Originally due to start on July 24, 2020, this years Summer Olympics will still be dubbed Tokyo 2020 despite the postponement. To kick off the 100 day countdown, Omega just introduced the Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020. Crafted in stainless steel, the 42mm case is topped by a blue ceramic bezel ring engraved with a white enamel diving scale. The white ceramic dial features the 300M’s signature wave pattern with a date window at 6 o’clock, and luminescent hands and indices – all in a color scheme inspired the Games official emblem of 45 indigo rectangles on a white field. Omega’s certified Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 is visible through the sapphire crystal case-back. Each timepiece comes in a special co-branded Olympic Games presentation box.
