Oris’s AquisPro Date is the latest watch equipped with the brands high-performance Calibre 400 movement. Tested at Switzerland’s Laboratoire Dubois before its release in 2020, the in-house movement provides elevated levels of anti-magnetism and superior accuracy compared to a chronometer. These results make it a natural fit for the AquisPro Date, a highly technical tool watch designed to serve professional divers who work on complex engineering projects in helium-enriched environments hundreds of meters below the water’s surface. Among its special features is the Rotation Safety System (RSS). This patented device enables divers to lock the uni-directional rotating bezel into place and track remaining dive time with absolute certainty. A chunky rubber grip makes it easy to operate with diving gloves on, while a yellow and white minutes scale engraved into the scratch-resistant ceramic bezel insert boosts visibility in low-light conditions. Encased in a 49.50 mm titanium case plated in low-glare black DLC, the coordinating black dial has a wave patterned engraved underneath Super-LumiNova coated hands and indices. With an upgraded movement, the new AquisPro Date Calibre 400 becomes one of the highest spec Swiss Made mechanical diver’s watches ever produced.
