Nike’s Vaporfly NEXT% 2 Offers Improved ZoomX Cushioning Tech & Durability

Nike’s NEXT% footwear collection strives to deliver measurable performance benefits to runners by combining research and purposeful design. Last years ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% is the best example of this ambition. By incorporating a full-length carbon plate to smooth transition from stride to stride, the shoe brought the latest in ZoomX cushioning to both elite and recreational runners. The shoe’s second iteration makes small but meaningful changes to the original design based on athlete feedback. The Vaporfly NEXT% 2 features a redesigned upper, re-tooled forefoot and improved fit. Upgraded mesh on the upper better conforms to the foot and is softer and more breathable than the original Vaporweave. Pockets of padding at the top of the tongue reduce lace pressure, while additional forefoot reinforcement improves durability in high-wear striking areas.

Limited quantities of the white ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT% 2 are available now for Nike members. The Aqua Vaporfly NEXT% 2 goes on sale March 25 at nike.com.
