Seattle’s Division Road recently gave Viberg’s 90 year old Officer Boot a refresh. Combining two vintage boot patterns from the early 20th century, the Viberg x Division Road Latigo Horsehide Officer Boots are made with full-weight vegetable-tanned leather from Japan’s venerable Shinki Tannery. Each hide is oiled and waxed by hand to intensify the leathers natural characteristics and improve flexibility. The Camel Latigo Horsehide Officer Boot ($825.00) utilizes a 2030 last inspired by a low-profile Canadian Army officers dress boot. The derby style upper comes on a stacked leather sole with a dovetail heel. Made on the recently developed 2055 last, the Olive Latigo Horsehide Officer Boot ($825.00) combines a rugged Goodyear Commando lug sole with a classic cap toe. Both designs include French binding, brass eyelets, Goodyear Welt construction and channeled insoles made in Canada by Viberg’s master craftsmen.
