Far from another vintage-inspired timepiece, the new Zenith Chronomaster Revival A385 is an actual reproduction of the original model from 1969, one of the earliest El Primero equipped chronographs. Zenith used the original blueprints and production plans to ensure that each part of the A385’s 37mm tonneau-shaped stainless steel case is faithful to the original – from the gradient dial to the pump-style pushers. There are two key updates, the original’s acrylic glass has been upgraded to a domed sapphire crystal and the case back is now transparent, offering an unobstructed view of the El Primero 400 chronograph movement.
The Chronomaster Revival El Primero A385 in stainless steel is available now from Zenith boutiques. A second version of the A385 with a leather strap ($7,700.00) is available now at zenith-watches.com.
