Patek Philippe asserts its position as the premiere independent manufacture of high-end mechanical timepieces with the new Grande Sonnerie. Combining a grande sonnerie with a petite sonnerie and a minute repeater, the 703-part movement was granted two patents for the strikework mechanism and one for the jumping seconds. The movement is housed in a 44.8 mm platinum case with a glazed Grand Feu black enamel dial studded with gold applied Breguet numerals. If you want to show off the complex movement, the solid platinum case back can be swapped out for a sapphire crystal version. The watch is presented on a shiny black, hand-stitched, alligator leather strap with a fold-over clasp.
