Defying an old adage, the new Breitling Endurance Pro is two things at once. A colorful, everyday sports watch and a lightweight, high precision instrument built to appeal to committed athletes. The Swiss manufacture describes it as “the ultimate athleisure watch.” Positioned in the brand’s Professional range, the Endurance Pro is the modern evolution of the Breitling Sprint, a 1970s resin watch that combined impressively light weight with a pulsometer – for athletes who wanted to monitor their heart rate. This update maintains those features with an ultra-lightweight 44 millimeter Breitlight® case and pulsometer scale on the inner bezel ring, while updating the movement to the COSC-certified Caliber 82, enhanced with SuperQuartz technology. Ten times more accurate than conventional quartz, the SuperQuartz is the same proprietary movement that powers every timepiece in Breitling’s Professional range.
Available in orange, yellow, red, white and blue, the Endurance Pro features a black dial with a matching rotating bezel engraved with cardinal compass points (N, S, E, and W). Each color option has a coordinating inner bezel and Diver Pro rubber strap. For even more color, vibrant Outerknown ECONYL® NATO straps can be purchased separately. To improve visibility, the hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova and the chronograph second hand has a red pointer, to track elapsed time with a glance. Along with a small-second subdial, there are 1/10th second and 30-minute chronograph counters that have also been designed for easy reading. The Breitling Endurance Pro is water-resistant to 10 bar/100 meters/330 feet and comes with a two-year warranty.
