Formed in 2011, the Manta Trust is a UK-based charity working to conserve manta rays, their close relatives and their habitat, through a combination of research and education. Swiss watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer has supported the Manta Trust since the beginning, issuing a series of special edition ScubaTec dive watches to raise awareness and funds. The Patravi ScubaTec Black ($7,200.00) is the latest addition to the Manta Trust series. With its screw-down crown, automatic helium release valve and water resistance to an impressive 500 meters, the ScubaTec Black is ideal for both recreational and highly skilled technical divers. Powered by the in-house CFB 1950.1 caliber automatic movement, the 44.6 mm diver has a DLC-coated titanium case, rotating bezel and luminous hands and markers to ensure visibility in low-light conditions. To support the goals of the Trust, 100% of the material used to make the black strap comes from recycled plastic bottles recovered from the ocean.
