In 2016 Novak Djokovic won his first French Open title at Roland Garros. The victory completed Novak’s career Grand Slam and gave him a non-calender year Grand Slam, becoming the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four men’s majors at once. He also became the first man since 1992 to win both the Australian and French Open in the same calendar year. Already a star, Djokovic became a sensation. Inspired by the tenacity displayed during the championship, Tokyo-based pop artist Youssef Sy created his original y-con Novak Djokovic character. Sy is now teaming up with Lacoste for a capsule collection based on on his original character and dedicated to the world No. 1. The Novak Djokovic x Youssef Sy collection features polos, sweatshirts, T-shirts and caps. Available now at lacoste.com.
